I was responsible for a portfolio of multiple electricity supply projects throughout the stages of delivery from initial negotiation to site completion and closeout. The unrelated projects were simultaneous and at the various project life phases. Responsibilities included scoping, costing, expenditure approval, offer preparation and issue. Procurement of long lead-time materials and /or contractor quotations was often sought. Each project required support for the design, survey and the on-site construction works. All projects must meet budget constraints, customer expectations and comply with company standards, policies and procedures. Safety of employees, contractors and the general public was paramount. Projects typically required liaison with external parties such as customers, consultants, Registered Electrical Contractors (electricians), builders/site project managers, surveyors and electricity retailers. Good communication skills, teamwork with the ability to encourage others are essential for successful delivery.Some projects had a capital expenditure exceeding one million dollars.
