Responsibilities:- Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, led a first line assurance team of 100 people, responsible for identifying, shaping and implementing changes to 1st LOD assurance, ensuring they add value, are cost effective and support management in their execution of Senior Manager responsibilities. - Led the implementation and effective operating of TSBs Operational Risk Committee, providing key inputs to the development of TSB’s strategy which enables senior management and business areas to assess the implications of their strategic decisions on the risk profile- Led programme to capture and test TSBs procedural controls, augmenting these into the existing control framework to build confidence in the control TSB exerted over its critical customer journeys and operational resilience.- Working with the 1st LOD, champion a risk culture that encourages informed and controlled risk taking within defined risk appetite measures (Board, Executive and Local); while building and maintaining strong and productive relationships with internal/external stakeholders including regulators, TSB Executive and Board, Sabadell Group.Achievements:- Designed, built and implemented a pan bank Enterprise Assurance function from scratch.- Delivered £3m annualised savings- Embedded new Risk Management Framework; harmonising pan bank risk reporting and governance.- Co-chair of TSB inclusion; with specific affinity to disability and mental health – I have successfully raised the profile of this important inclusion segment across TSB.
