Mark is currently a Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist with EOG Resources. Mr. Barbier honorably served in the United States Navy before completing his Bachelors of Applied Science Degree in Environmental Technology Management from the Pennsylvania College of Technology - Williamsport. During his college tenure Mark began his professional career as a fulltime Soil Conservation Technician with the Lycoming County Conservation District. Upon graduation he accepted a position with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's (PADEP) Bureau of Oil & Gas Management as a Water Quality Specialist. During his time at the PADEP he became familiar with the environmental and operational aspects of Marcellus Shale exploration. He joined Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in May of 2010. At Anadarko, he served as an Environmental Representative where he was instrumental in environmental program implementation, environmental compliance activities and successfully exploring conservation and ecological partnership opportunities. In 2017, Mark transitioned into a comprehensive EHS role with Alta Resources L.L.C.. August 2018, Mr. Barbier earned a Master Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Environmental, Health & Safety Management. Mr. Barbier joined EQT Corporation in July 2021. He served as lead coordinator for safety and environmental aspects associated with EQT's responsible natural gas development and exploration in North Central Pennsylvania before serving as an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist with SPM Oil&Gas (A Caterpillar Company) Northeast Region. Mark continuously displays a commitment to preserve and improve our valuable air, water, soil and wildlife resources. Mark is passionate about sustainable workplace cultures rooted in value based safety. He is a consistent leader to enhance operational safety through active engagement, program development and HSE management system administration. In November 2019 he earned his Board of Certified Safety Professionals certification (CSP). Mark is currently pursuing an Industrial Hygiene Masters Degree from Montana Tech.
