Previously challenged with travelling to customer installations (both land and offshore throughout the world) to conduct a range of works including; installation and commissioning, effecting mandatory, periodic inspection/overhaul works, corrective "Rig Down"​ activities and upgrades as a Service Engineer for a major global Oil and Gas services provider whilst complying with industry safety and environmental standards. Working under the "Rig Systems and Aftermarket"​ umbrella, I was primarily responsible for ensuring the integrity of the customer's rig floor equipment​ along with a vast range of NOV plant. I took great pride in ensuring that "My"​ product enters service having exceeded OEM standards. Responsible for commissioning, surveying, overhaul, repair and modification of customer's equipment, my duties included; spares management, recording equipment performance, ensuring compliance with industry/OEM specifications and representing NOV on a "face to face"​ level.I ensured all work was carried out to a standard exceeding customers expectations.

Providing frontline maintenance for Production, my role involved conducting both reactive and proactive maintenance practices in line with strict safety policies ensuring minimal disruption to the manufacturing process. I conducted repairs, upgrades and alterations to a wide variety of production and utilities plant ranging from pumping systems to bulk materials handling, power generation and process specific equipment.In addition to my primary role I was an active member of the on-site Emergency Response Team (6/7 members per shift). In order to effectively contribute to the team I was trained in First Aid, Basic Firefighting, Chemical Awareness, Confined Space Entry and Rescue including the use of Self Contained Breathing Apperatus.

Working as part of the LWC Line maintenance team, based at the paper machine, my duties involved conducting routine preventative maintenance checks on process specific equipment. I was an active member of the call-out rota (1 week in 7), requiring me to have a broad knowledge of all aspects of the manufacturing and utilities processes. Working at the paper machine gave great exposure to heavy lifting operations during component/assembly removal and overhaul.
