Management of comprehensive security programs and ensuring safety of personnel, assets and information. Ensuring compliance with the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and providing leadership and training to Omni staff. Management of Cyber systems and the recently built multi-million dollar Defence Cyber College facility at HMAS Harman. The newly established facility provides ADF personnel with specific skills across the cyber warfare realm.Overall coordination of final build aspects including certification and accreditation of relevant zones in order to operationalise the facility.

I am accountable for all operational matters relating to the security and effective operation of a high-risk, politically sensitive overseas facility. I lead internal departments and staff in a safe and secure manner to enable effective service provision whilst maintaining security and safety.I have developed a suite of leadership policies and procedures to ensure effective working relationships with stakeholders including multiple governments, numerous contractors and staff.

I developed a training package that combined traditional Close Personal Protection (CPP) methodologies with specific Tactical Response Team skillsets which produced a unique fit for purpose operator. I trained and then led the delivery team which comprised of ex police, military and corrections members to deliver the program which included weapons handling, tactical shooting, and unarmed tactics for over 200 police personnel in preparation for a major International forum attended by numerous world leaders.

Operated as Acting Superintendent as the Coordinator of Operational Safety and Protection for the AFP on a number of occasions. In this role I coordinated two critical areas of training in the AFP.Coordinator/Team Leader of AFP Close Personal Protection (CPP) training and courses, which provided successful candidates with the skills to provide services to Australian and Foreign High Office Holders and visiting International Very Important Persons. My team also delivered training to specialist military units and overseas law enforcement. I coordinated AFP Driver Training. My team delivered various systems of vehicle control to police recruits through to evasive driving techniques for CPP and high-speed police pursuit drivers.Project work - I coordinated and was the lead instructor for Counter Terrorism Security and Protection training for various Government infrastructure and hard targets such as airports, Parliament House, and other identified national high-risk targets.I chaired the working group for improved police response and training to Active Armed Offenders to align with current threat methodolgies.

Tactical Response (Counter Terrorism) Team Leader and coordinator for numerous multi-jurisdictional, multi-agency, complex, high-risk and critical operations domestically and overseas including high-risk arrests of national and international targets, counter terrorism targets, VIP/Diplomatic protection, high-risk warrant arrests, hostage resolution tasks.ANZCTC qualified Counter Terrorism operations team leader.Specialist in tactical driving and threat vehicle immobilisation.

I performed as a team member and team 2IC for high and critical risk, multi-jurisdictional, multi-agency complex police operations throughout Australia as well as overseas.Attended training and Counter Terrorism exercises with a number of military specialist teams and international SWAT teams.ANZCTC qualified Counter Terrorism tactical operator. Specialist in high-speed tactical driving, armoured vehicle operations, tactical water operations, search and rescue diving, swift water rescue.

General duties police officer. Operated primarily in Canberra southern suburbs. Responded to various incidents and conducted investigations across a multitude of crime types and public emergencies.

I managed a boutique fitness centre (The Clubhouse) which serviced the hotel guests as well as its own stand alone public membership base (capped at 1000). I oversaw all financial and operational aspects of the club and reported to the General Manager of the Hyatt Hotel.

As a PTI I was responsible for ensuring that personnel were physically capable to conduct their operational duties, and remained fit and healthy throughout their careers. The role also contributes to military personnels mental health and resilience, and supports well-being and leadership development through team based activities and adventure training.Promoted to Petty Officer PTI in 1999.
