IT delivery management of multiple concurrent IT projects, of both small and large scale, from project initiation through to implementation.Responsible for the career & performance management of staff with varying skills sets and experience.Management of 2nd & 3rd line support staff and associated reporting of call backlogs.Ensuring all required IT development resource is available and assigned for projects being delivered. Evaluation and selection of 3rd party IT development systems including BPM, ECM and a project management tools for use within the department.Production of weekly management & status reports used at project updates, steering and board level meetings.Key achievement was the delivery of a system that automated the processing of mortgage applications submitted via multiple channels. This enabled Society to improve speed of processing by over 50%. As a result the quality of service has improved through consistent processing which in turn has resulted in the Society winning a number of service related business awards.

Promoted to position in June 2005. I was leading a team of developers (of mixed technical expertise) providing Business As Usual solutions and 2nd line helpdesk support across all of the Societies platforms.Additional responsibilities to that of the previous role included career & performance management of staff, day to day management of helpdesk calls, ensuring quality and timely delivery of several competing deliverables and all associated reporting.

Development responsibilities included the design, development, support and implementation of BPM/ECM systems used to manage a number of the Society’s mortgage and investment processes and related customer documentation. Key achievement was designing and building a new system for the processing further lending applications based on document imaging and business process management systems. The system was highlighted as a best in breed following a review by an external party.Following a review of the roadmap for ECM/BPM solutions I was instrumental in the evaluation and selection process of a replacement BPM solution I was also a key figure in the design, launch and support of the IT departments systems development life cycle.

Design, support and implementation of multi-platform client-server systems for a wide range of clients in the securities market.Extensive use of VB5/6, SQL Server 6.5/7, Oracle 7 & 8, and Arpeggio for reporting purposes.Technologies used include ActiveX, RDO, HTML and client-server communication techniques using DCOM, Sockets and Oracle Pipes.On-site experience gained during client installations and trouble shooting visits.Designed & implemented HTML help on-line package used in Peter Evans software

Graduate programmer developing Microsoft solutions for Welsh Water, primarily a system providing monitoring tools for water quality. The solution was built using Visual Basic and SQL Server. The role also involved travelling around sites in Wales to install and troubleshoot the application.
