These works included demolition of an existing wing and the construction of a 34 bedroom and 9 bedroom extension, all in keeping with the original building, including lime render to match existing. Finally, the original building was refurbished, working closely with the conservation and planning officers to maintain the building character. The home has gone from 30 rooms to 54, all now with en-suites and to a high specification. The works also included new plant room, kitchen, laundry, dining rooms, lounges, sluice rooms, assisted bathrooms, hairdressers, treatment room, staff facilities and all associated external works. This project was carried out in 3 stages due to it being an operational home throughout the entire project. Show less

This is for the same client as my previous job, they asked for me personaly to run this project. The penalties for not completing on time would have meant Ffos Las would not get a racing license for the season so I was under pressure from the start. Again, the client has been suitably impressed enough to have appointed GEE as main contractor on another of there projects, stating on a few occasions that we now have an excellent working relationship. Although I started this job I was taken off after 10 weeks to build the main buildings at Ffos Las Racecourse. The project was part occupied, although there were no happy residents, when I was asked to take over as the previous managers had walked off site. Within the 3 months I was at the site all snags had been carried out to existing houses and remaining builds were completed.

£12 MillionRegeneration of a brownfield site into 121 1 and 2 bed sheltered housing units partly owned by B.C.C. and St. Monica Trust, a charity. I was employed on the project when the steel work sub-contractor went into liquidation 2/3 into the project. It was my role to ensure that the transition to another contractor and all subsequent following trades were employed efficiently on site to minimise the 15 week delay. The project completed 4 weeks behind the original completion date.
