Over the last year myself and the other co-founders believe we have identified how best to translate pharmacogenetic advances into the clinical setting accurately and ethically. It is an exciting time as the company is preparing to launch and is set to disrupt the current drug prescription process in the UK.

Pharmacogenetics is an extension of my passion for genetics. The subject has accumulated substantial evidence for its use in the clinical setting and I believe it to be an area of genetics with immediate efficacious use. This Masters course has enabled me to expand my knowledge of the field and gain confidence with UCL providing an environment conducive to this. I have also used this year to take various courses supported by UCL to learn more about business theory.

I worked in various roles in the Gastroenterology department including secretary, PA, pathway administrator and receptionist. Through these avenues I learnt a lot about the needs of the patients and healthcare professionals along with furthering my organisational skills.
