Internal Promotion. I have experience with HP Pro-Liant Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-V clustered resilient failover servers built upon Datacore SAN Melody which collectively hosts 15 virtual servers. In addition a Windows 2008 Terminal Server provides both full virtual desktop and newly incorporated Remote App thin client access for remote users. Cisco ASA site-to-site VPN links provide security between sites plus remote access VPN provides secure remote dial-in use. Four years experience providing IT services to fast paced UK wide retail company. Working as part of a small four person team covering all aspects of the companies IT requirements. Providing planning, installation and support of Windows servers, PCs, Macs and associated networks to local Glasgow, remote London and remote warehouse sites totalling over 200 users. In addition has provided administrative and 1st line helpdesk support to UNIX based Oracle database retail system which manages stock from initial ordering, through warehousing up to and including sales via 150 Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) retail sites. For this I also negotiated a replacement ink contract plus assisted in the implementation of an automated ink ordering system via a Google App’s based intranet site.
