• Ensured reconciled differences in datatypes between the Db2 UDB and the AS400 iSeries, using data to build derived tables for use by analysts and for extract creation.

• Collaborated with IBM’s BCU implementation team to build a data warehouse to store historic claims and member data using IBM Db2 DWE V9.7 on Linux Red Hat 6.3.
• Wrote shell scripts for database maintenance tasks: backup and recovery, data reorganization and statistics collection.
• Partnered with IBM consultants to load initial data and establish data maintenance routines.

• I managed a 10 node, 73 partition Db2 UDB Data Warehouse storing ~ 10 terabytes of historic sales and delivery data. Key Achievements:
• Oversaw the migration of Pepsi Bottling Group’s (PBG) enterprise data warehouse from UDB Db2 v8.2 to DWE v9.1.
• Established performance benchmarks for the migration of PBG’s sales, customer, and delivery data warehouse to IBM Db2 DWE V9.1 on AIX 5.3.
• Migrated PBG’s backup and recovery scripts and processes from IBM Tivoli storage Manager to Symantec’s NetBackup.
• Transitioned from system managed tablespace storage to database managed tablespace storage.
• Led database object privileges and runtime client installation and configuration for Windows, UNIX, and Linux servers.
