Mark’s role as Chief Executive Officer encompasses the executive management of all business streams within the Manteena Group, with an overall view to providing the strategic direction in close consultation with the Board of Directors in each entity. Mark is also a director of Manteena – a position he’s held since 2000. As a graduate of the University of Canberra Construction Management degree, Mark is passionate about seeing the next generation of graduates enter and excel in the industry. He is actively involved in a number of industry initiatives including as chair of the Property Council Economic Development & Infrastructure Committee and is a member of the Master Builders Commercial Council and the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Responsible for the general management of the activities of the Canberra operations of the Company as Canberra Branch Manager.As Canberra Branch Manager, responsible for the delivery of numerous projects valued up to $30M, with total revenue during this period approximately $300M.

Responsible for a range of projects including:* Commonwealth Place Forecourt Stage 1 Document and Construct (Winner 2003 MBA ACT - Project Exhibiting Technical Difficulty or Innovation) - Design Manager/Project Director;* University of Canberra Innovation Centre - Senior Project Manager;* School of Applied Arts and Design Refurbishment, Canberra Institute of Technology, Reid - Senior Project Manager; and* Buildings 1 and 9 Refurbishment, University of Canberra - Senior Project Manager.Developed extensive 'hands on' construction experience and built successful relationships with many of Manteena's major clients, consultants and trade contractors.

Responsible for the project management on the innovative Condamine Court Project for ACT Housing, which was part of an initiative by the client to lead the industry by example in ecologically sustainable urban redevelopment. The project received international acclaim in reaching the final of the World Habitat Awards in 2000.Other projects included:* Fit-out of the Alexander and Albemarle Buildings, and Fishburn House for the Department of Health and Aged Care; and* Development of an indoor sports stadium for the Shellharbour City Council.
