I am a highly skilled video production specialist/communications manager with proven experience in leading a nationally recognized multimedia unit, developing cutting-edge communication techniques and producing measurable results.With over 30 years of video production experience and seven years of managerial experience, I have developed a set of skills that make me extremely successful at recognizing, developing and implementing new, interesting and effective communication techniques. I have also had the extreme good fortune to work with very progressive and innovative leaders over the course of my career, which has helped me sharpen my own leadership abilities. I believe in empowering employees to make many of their own decisions while also holding them accountable for those decisions. • Coordinated all multimedia aspects for Missouri’s First-In-Nation Economic Recovery Act project event. This coordination included the live satellite video feed, exclusive photos and graphic design elements used by many major news organizations.• Oversaw the production of the “Life Cycle of a Highway” animation, which demonstrated the decay of a roadway over 50 years. This animation is now being used by over a dozen states and several international organizations.• Coordinated the creation of MoDOT’s award-winning “MoDOT Minute” and “Missouri Miles” news programs.• Multimedia Services has won numerous awards including recognition from the NAGC, NTPAW, AASHTO and the International Academy of Visual Arts.• Multimedia Services budget was over $190,000 per year when I became manager in 2005.
