Responsible for R&D, Regulatory and QC for Mycorrhizal Applications as well as Rhizosphere Research within Valent Biosciences

Manages VBC's New Technology Research Group which includes Biorational Crop Enhancement, Biorational Crop Protection and Biorational Rhizosphere research teams. Areas of discovery include insecticides, fungicides, nematicides, plant growth regulators and biostimulants. Responsibilities include direct supervision of personnel and budgets for internal discovery programs, as well as evaluation of external / 3rd party leads.

Global regulatory responsibility for VBC's new Rhizosphere Business Unit following the acquisition of Mycorrhizal Applications in 2015. Development of international dossiers and coordination of new biostimulant product applications via Sumitomo Chemical affiliates throughout EU, the Americas, and Asia. Additionally responsible for directly managing all VBC product registrations (AG and P. Health pesticides, PGRs and Biostimulants) for the SE Asian region.

Leadership of VBC’s new product development process across all business units (PGRs, Microbials, Public Health, Post-harvest); oversight of overall R&D portfolio, including stage-gate process, new product business plans & financial models, and resource prioritization.

Managed the Field R&D department, which conducts testing of all VBC agricultural products on a global basis. Responsible for personnel (13-17 direct reports plus seasonal staff) and budgets, as well as strategic execution of field programs; hired, trained & supervised personnel in the U.S. & abroad.

Managed various product lines for Abbott Labs (1997 - 2000) & VBC, including Nematicides (1997-2001), Insecticides (1999 -2001) and Plant Growth Regulators (1999-2003). Responsible for overall planning, budgeting & execution of product development activities in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsible for management of sales & development programs and personnel in support of biosys' (now Certis USA) product line of biorational insecticides in the US.

Responsible for CGI's insecticide field programs, including transgenic Bt field testing. As Director of Insecticides, led the development & commercialization of baculovirus products.

Managed Host Plant Resistance screening programs for Lepidopteran pests on soybeans and peanuts.
