He is also an Ambassador for both Championing Social Care and Adopt A Grandparent.He is the former Chief Executive of Emprise Services plc and Chair of Cambridge Maintenance Services - both leading facilities management providers. He was also the Chairman of Lighthouse Healthcare prior to its sale to Elysium in August 2017.He has worked primarily in healthcare since 2003 and previously in leisure and media. He has been Chief Executive Officer of Capio Nightingale - owner of Central London’s only independent acute psychiatric hospital, the Chief Operating Officer of the Priory Group - Europe’s leading independent provider of mental health, rehabilitation and specialist education services, and Managing Director of Mental Healthcare Services for General Healthcare Group - the UK's No. 1 independent healthcare provider, and Managing Director of ACH until its sale in April 2014. He is a founding partner of The Objectivity Partnership LLP.
