My primary goal is to develop new technical concepts and lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and analysts to solve national security problems. I am currently a Program Manager at the Intelligence Advanced Research Project Activity (IARPA), within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, with a focus on privacy enhancing technologies, such as anonymous communication, secure multi-party computation, and identity management. At IARPA I am responsible for conceiving, initiating, and executing large research programs. I currently manage the Anonymous Real-Time Speech (ARTS) Program, an effort I developed to modify spontaneous speech in real-time to protect an individual’s privacy. I am also the Program Manager for the AGILE Program, which seeks new, energy-efficient, and reliable computer architectures that can address the Intelligence Community’s large-scale data-analytic applications. I previously managed IARPA's SuperTools program, which resulted in new software tools that will allow the design and simulation of digital superconductor electronic circuits. Before joining IARPA, I worked at Booz Allen Hamilton from 2007 to 2022 as a chief scientist supporting clients in the Intelligence Community. Prior to that, I was a technical staff member at Los Alamos National Lab, the nation’s premier nuclear weapons lab.  I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2003 with a Ph.D. in mathematics.  I am a former basketball player, having played in college at Arizona State University and at the professional level in various European leagues. I currently live in Northern Virginia with my family.
