Growing businesses was my interest, often successful and one not so much. The latter lead me back to university in my mid 20s to finally graduate.I'm notoriously curious and happen to be extremely fortunate and lucky to receive first hand company leadership coaching on sales, finance, product management and operations by the CEO of a household name company who had been a long-time customer of my last company. A surprising leading industry is the gold, jewelry and watches development and manufacturing, which seamlessly transitions into automotive and its supply chain, no surprise with Porsche and Mercedes only minutes away.After working in New Zealand and Dubai my career brought me to Munich for several years from where I embarked to projects all over Europe, Middle East, North Afrika, West Asia or USA. Portland, Oregon, USA is where my wife, kids and I live since 2013, enjoying the outdoors from the coast to the mountains.A great day for me is working closely with department leaders and experts, solving problems, progress the organization towards our goals while working better with each other. Efficiency and quality gains are a natural outcome of this process, but also quality of life increases for everyone involved which makes me happy.What I do off work? Tinker and play with my kids! Coach track and cross country, run many miles with my daughter or enjoy the Oregon mountains with the family. If there is time left then I love to build wood furniture in my garage, reality is that by the time I get to it, there is too much stuff sitting on the machines. In the past I got my thrills from cold German lakes doing technical SCUBA and rebreather diving. With kids and a busy work life such days are over - but I can look back to incredible memories.
