Leading a team of up to 9 staff to meet the needs of contractors, homeowners and D-I-Yers. Oversight of the introduction of numerous tool lines and suppliers. Managed the full buyback and replacement of over 450' of retail aisles and over 5,000 SKUs.

I joined officially 3 years after it's launch and collaborated with Tammy, my wife, in all aspects of the business over the next 7 years. This included setting goals and planning strategies for business development; hiring, setting expectations for, and training staff; developing systems and practices for operation of the business; developing relationships with small businesses, non-profit organizations and other customers; developing partnerships with events and community organizations; and all of the problem solving that goes with business ownership/management.

An integral part of the small team that developed the positioning and PR for the launch of the Yukon, North of Ordinary magazine. I was solely responsible for advertising sales, and met or exceeded sales expectations every issue.

I joined the company in 2000 as a sales rep whose responsibilities were exclusively sales, primarily growth of draft accounts. As the company grew over the 6 years, so did my responsibilities. By 2006 I was managing the marketing, communications and sales in 2 provinces as well as The Yukon. I oversaw all aspects of the planning, budgeting and execution of the communications strategy across all markets. In my time with the company it grew from a handful of draft accounts to better than 50% market share of draft beer and dominance in the premium beer category.

I started selling gourds at the side of the perennial stand, continued to , sell pumpkins and manage cash, and finished my tenure there running a satellite apple stand at the age of 14.
