This included setting goals and planning strategies for business development; hiring, setting expectations for, and training staff; developing systems and practices for operation of the business; developing relationships with small businesses, non-profit organizations and other customers; developing partnerships with events and community organizations; and all of the problem solving that goes with business ownership/management.

Director Of Marketing And Sales
I joined the company in 2000 as a sales rep whose responsibilities were exclusively sales, primarily growth of draft accounts. As the company grew over the 6 years, so did my responsibilities. By 2006 I was managing the marketing, communications and sales in 2 provinces as well as The Yukon. I oversaw all aspects of the planning, budgeting and execution of the communications strategy across all markets. In my time with the company it grew from a handful of draft accounts to better than 50% market share of draft beer and dominance in the premium beer category.
Sales
This was the job that started it all for me. I learned many lessons I have been able to apply in almost every job I have held since. I started selling gourds at the side of the perennial stand, continued to , sell pumpkins and manage cash, and finished my tenure there running a satellite apple stand at the age of 14. My career path started in the market stalls of the Byward Market.
