Startup company to provide IoT based LoRaWAN solution for retrofitting string monitoring to existing utility scale solar farms using a combination of custom hardware/ firmware and cloud-based analytics. Responsible for creating a LoRaWAN network consisting of sensor nodes (using custom sensors and firmware) gateways, cloud-based data storage and analytics. Sensor nodes required custom firmware for both current measurement and data packaging with custom software on the gateway / cloud interface for extracting the data.

Responsible for identifying and implementing IoT technologies to generate ROI in the CS TD factory support space. Evaluated LPWAN wireless technologies and compared their performance in the CS environment. Developed full wireless end to end solution for LoRa and LoRaWAN wireless sensors to SCADA. This included creating multiple custom patented sensors and multiple LoRa reference designs to demonstrate LoRa performance in semiconductor factory environment. For custom and reference sensors, I optimized wireless settings and provided custom Firmware, Gateway, CSCA algorithm, and back end code to integrate with existing SCADA systems. I created custom sensor packaging and connections using solid modeling with 3D printed and CNC machined parts.
