As a youth-leadership incubator, we provide individualized opportunities to help youth develop as the leaders they yearn to be, despite societal and structural limitations, with focus on arts, environment and global advocacy projects. Position includes planning and managing fundraising, data management, documentation for stakeholders, direct service, networking, marketing, program/curriculum development, coordination with partner organizations, and budgeting.

Work with a caseload of youth and families with open DHS/Child Welfare cases, to promote safety, community engagement, and independent living skills.

Working with a caseload of students in a long term group home to promote acculturation and personal improvements with immigrant and refugee youth within the ORR system. Included creating and implementing systems to organize and document student goals and progress for case management, direct-service with youth to foster personal growth, and creativity and communication working with a team of service-providers to assist youth in gaining legal standing.

Working with a caseload of students to plan and carry out educational and independent living skills activities for immigrant youth in an ORR foster care program, documenting and organizing case management paperwork per ORR requirements. Included collaborating with a team of therapists, case managers, and partner organizations to meet programmatic expectations and promote acculturation in their communities, schools, foster families, as well as facilitating organization and transportation for legal, medical, and educational services.

Coordinate and lead service-based international study abroad programs in Panama for high school students. A focus on youth development through service-learning, cultural immersion and language learning. Role includes collaborating with service-providers in Panama, building and maintaining working relationships with families and community leaders, and facilitating all aspects of an experiential education experience abroad with a cohort of high school students. Also charged with maintaining budgets, tours, lodging and transportation.

Managing and directing a supplemental after-school program for middle school students with a focus on academic support, goal management and character development. Classroom management, developing field trips and facilitating parent/teacher communication are means by which the program goals are achieved.

Facilitating the operations of an undergraduate academic program focused on sustainable development on an organic farm in Costa Rica. Work includes assisting in: faculty research, coordinating educational trips, academic programming, daily farm administration, logistics and community outreaches.
