• Served as key member of management with responsibility over financial reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting, corporate finance, treasury, accounting, tax, internal controls, and investor relations• Developed and maintained management reporting templates and models including cash flow forecasts, operating forecasts and budgets, and KPIs• Led and managed all aspects of financial reporting including design, implementation, and maintenance of complex, multi-entity consolidation models; design and implementation of the chart of accounts; preparation of annual financial statements (IFRS) for 7 entities; and all debt compliance reporting• Assisted CFO, VP, and CEO with 2 funding rounds totaling $23M in equity raised, and a $20M debt financing including management of the due diligence process• Maintained financial oversight over construction of $20 million solar PV portfolio including development and maintenance of project budgets and cash flow, approval of expenditures, negotiation with vendors and contractors, development and maintenance of procurement process• Designed and implemented end-to-end process flows with supporting tools and templates for key process areas including procure to pay; revenue and receivables; and close, consolidate, and report • Developed accounting policies and prepared technical accounting memos for complex accounting issues including hedge accounting for interest rate swaps, leases (IFRS 16), revenue recognition (IFRS 15), consolidation, impairment analysis, business combinations, tax provisions, and contingencies• Managed tax compliance process including oversight over annual corporate filings, quarterly sales tax filings, and responding to several CRA audit requests covering historical periods• Managed and coordinated annual financial statement audit; maintained key relationships with legal counsel, bankers, and service providers; and supervised junior members of the Finance team
