Responsible for purchasing materials for multimillion-dollar business unit. Support engineering department for new product development and launch. Range of products include to but not limited to raw materials, electrical components, formed or machined metal enclosures, cable assemblies, populated PC board sub-assemblies, finished product sourced for resale, and manage contract manufacturers building HBK designed products.Develop and manage key supplier relationships within assigned business unit including negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier performance.Place and/or expedite required material to support manufacturing facility and engineering development site.Develop and implement on hand inventory reduction and lead time reduction projects via supplier managed inventory programs or Blanket order placement.Support engineering department in sourcing and developing new supply base for new product launch.Assisted in development of best practices for procurement strategies and SAP navigation.
