I was promoted to VP of Engineering to guide the Client Engineering organization (STB, Streamers, Mobile, and Web). At this time I structured, recruited, and led a global organization of 400+ individuals. In addition, I was managing an annual P&L of up to $42M. PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS: ➤ Conceptualized and developed the SKIP technology allowing users to “skip” over commercials. ➤ Introduced Scrum to guide necessary engineering transformation used to enhance predictability and empower teams to deliver high quality products. ➤ Led new development center buildout in Romania instrumental in significantly reducing growth costs. ➤ Added QA Engineers into Scrum teams to improve quality assurance results.

Launched technology company providing consumers the ability to play along live with television programs while competing against other viewers interacting with the same game show or sporting event simultaneously. PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS: ➤ Delivered play-along infrastructure supporting access to sporting events and game shows. ➤ Raised $25M in funding from VC’s and strategic investors. ➤ Expanded organizational footprint with a new facility, 80 employees, and membership volumes of ~$300,000. ➤ Collaborated with Sony to secure contract with Jeopardy!.

During this time, I served as the chief technologist for AOL’s games business / division. I guided all technical deals and initiatives leading to the expansion of AOL’s game strategy encompassing video games, massively multi-layer games, and AIM buddy games. PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS: ➤ Delivered $25M+ in revenue through game offerings.
