myFinancialAnswers is a start-up developing and commercializing a web based technology platform that delivers robust, reasonably priced personal financial planning services for individuals and families. The myFinancialAnswers software, built on a sophisticated financial planning process, will gather unique financial circumstances and provide specific, actionable recommendations. Almost 1 billion calculations are performed to integrate all aspects of an individual or family's financial life, so users can understand and manage the tradeoffs between retirement and college savings and everything in between. As CFO and Board member, lead all financial, legal and admin activities including obtaining investor funding, negotiation of contracts and service agreements and development of business plan and supporting financial model.

Corporate financial advisory services in support of private and public companies, start-ups and non-profits. Scope of capability includes:> Serving as contract CFO or Treasurer> Business plan development and writing> Complex financial modeling in support of complete business plans (e.g. for start-ups) as well as economics for discrete capital expenditure programs and transactions such as acquisitions or JV's.> Establishing and directing cash management and banking capability> Developing capital structure and financing plans> Negotiating and implementing funding facilities including bank debt, private placements, convertible notes, asset backed structures, etc.> M&A advisory including assessing opportunities, developing feasibility economics, due diligence, negotiation, completion of definitive agreements > General financial management for small commercial businesses and non-profits.

Start-up focused on development of cutting edge, differentiating technologies to transform renewable, sustainable ligno-cellulosic biomass into aromatic specialty chemicals identical to existing petroleum based products. As CFO, raised investor funds to support technology development and initial commercial market evaluation. Assessed alternative sites in Iowa and Canada for initial pilot facility and possible eventual commercial scale bio-refinery. Led all contract and agreement negotiation. Helped lead discussions leading to eventual merger with complementary development firm.
