My main role here is to liase with clients and our own developers ensuring that the customers needs and ideas are completed and fulfilled. To ensure timely delivery of products and taking ownership of the challenge each new project brings and using my vast experience to recommend solutions or process flows.

Currently supporting the Euro Govie and Gilts desks for all 1st/2nd line issues for Bond obligations and trading. This is done via the ION MMI application using PXE as the pricing engine. As part of the daily tasks I use the SysAdmin console to perform Morning Checks and then reporting to the Business as well as monitoring all components on the platform. Other areas include Risk and P+L, Straight Through Processing of Trades flowing to inhouse downstream Risk systems and also into Bloomberg TOMs. Future Rolls for both Euro Govie and Gilts. Also as part of the normal working week will be the release into production of mandatory gateway and custom built components

Global Senior Application Manager for Fixed Income Bond Trading. I was responsible for Singapore, Prague, Frankfurt, London and New York, running a follow-the-sun model supporting our Fixed Income Trading business including Govies, Credit, Local Mrkts, Emerging Mrkts, Inflation Linkers, Swaps, Supra & Sov's and Syndicate (private placements) Desks. I started in Jan 2010 as a senior IT Analyst Team lead before in September 2011 accepting a permanent roll as the Senior Application Manager.Responsibilities inc. all 1st/2nd line issues - bond pricing, risk & p+l, new bond additions, FRN refixings, STP trade flow issues, D2D and D2C contributions to various ECNs, Future Rolls, Weekend rollouts and testing.

As a Production manager I was responsible for co-ordinating all high level incidents within the production world of Standard Bank. Heavily involved with ITIL incident and problem management, RCA's (Root Cause Analyses), driving forward and championing Production Environment stability.

Started here as a junior Business Applications Analyst in October 2003 responsible for all 1st/2nd Line issues from the Euro Govies and Credit Bond Desks. Tasks included pricing issues, timely resolution of MarketData latency, Future Rolls and Straight Through Processing.In 2005 I became the Team Leader for the Fixed Income Applications covering In-house Pricing systems, MarketView and Anvil Teams. In 2007 I became the Senior Application Manager for the area, attending 'Morning Prayers' meetings and setting up a weekly 'Environment Meeting' which included all areas (Networks, MarketData, Desktop, Other Key App's such as Murex and Summit) to discuss on-going issues, weekend changes and planned future work.
