Joined Borg Warner as a software contractor to develop an electric vehicle ECU fault manager (DEM) using ISO14229 and related standards.• Authored software component requirement and software component architectural design specifications.• Created DEM software component consisting of 35 ‘C’ source modules, written to MISRA C and internal company guidelines.• As a key member of the automotive diagnostics team used JIRA project management tool and SVN CMS tool to plan and control development.

Joined Delphi Diesel Systems as a software contractor on the diesel vehicle ECU team.• Creating software modules conforming to MISRA C standard from module requirement specifications.• Performing formal software code reviews.• Writing applications in PERL and VBA to create Word documents from test data and auto generation of code modules from spreadsheet data. • Use of MATLAB to create and/or update engine functional models.• Analysis and correction of software faults that the test department could not resolve.• Software representative on FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) team.
