As the HSE Advisor/Paramedic I hold a dual role. Not only do I oversee the the health, safety, and environmental concernsof the ship. I am responsible for the assessment and treatment of all injuries and illnesses acquired by the crew. Both jobs go hand in hand if I do my job well on the HSE side the welfare of the crew improves. I am currently assigned to a deepwater seismic rov vessel in the Gulf of Mexico.

As a paramedic with P3 Global I am the medical person in charge for various projects. Currently we are working in several subsea projects which include pipeline, dive, contruction and decommissioning.

As the medic I am the MPIC (medical person in charge) I oversee all health issues concerning crew. I have an advanced scope of practice that allows me to administer treatments not normally handled by short based paramedics. As HSE Support I track all crew operations ensuring that toolbox meetings are correctly held and documented. I do the reports and investigations to any incident onboard. I also maintain the training matrix tracking all crew certifications and training. I participate in all safety meetings and conduct a weekly safety training session..

As the Safety Training Coordinator I was responsible for maintaining the crew training matrix. I instructed all rig base training and scheduled shore base training. During my time with Ensco 68 the training percentages were increased noticably. As the Medical Person in Charge (MPIC) I was responsible for all crew health issues including treatment, infirmary operation and medical inventory. In addition to these duties I was also the HLO and scheduled all helo ops including crew changes.
