Electrical Engineer -Control Systems Design

Manage electrical engineering functions that cater to and support design and development activities for both new and ongoing boat development.•

•Conduct Electric AC & DC Load Calculations that support proper power supply and distribution, in accordance with ABYC, NMMA, and Electric code regulations.•Design and Release documentation for the construction and installation of boat wiring, power distribution panels, lighting layouts, navigation electronics, and multimedia systems.•Real-time Engineering support of prototype builds (e.g. New Part creation, BOM analysis & part procurement, and Part Approval).•Vendor parts quote creation and support.•Electrical verification and validation of prototype boats.•Product Approval of Audio / Video parts.•Support Value Engineering / Value Analysis cost reduction activities.•Conduct and support Engineering Design Changes for both running and refresh modifications.

· Systems Integrator of Multimedia components within a vehicle platform; develop system level DFMEAs, Boundary, Interface, and Parameter diagrams. Perform Verification & Validation analyses on in-vehicle Entertainment systems (e.g. Audio, Bluetooth, and Telematic Systems).· Supervised component suppliers to ensure quality on-time deliverables.· Matrix into cross-functional teams and developed in-vehicle solutions for Multimedia systems that support the program’s cost and risk targets.· Coordinated Global 8D activities for Multimedia parts when applicable.

· Coordinated a nationwide “End to End” testing (e.g. functional verification of communication & data services through the use of in-vehicle hardware, GPS network, Cellular network and the Public Switched Telephone network).· Developed in-vehicle package solutions for the Telematic System.· Chaired Program Management meetings for system development coordination and customer requirements satisfaction.

Worked in Electrical Components division responsible for the new part development and system integration in support of Toyota's new model platforms. Some of my key tasks involved the following:Prepared product definition packages (e.g. Request For Quotation, RFQ documents) to be submitted to candidate vendors.· Established individualized program schedules and deadlines for the various electrical component vendors.· Oversee quality control activities for various electronic parts (e.g. Conducted robustness measurements for each part’s appearance, function & performance, and system interface).· Created 3D wire-frame components with the use of a Toyota proprietary CAD/CAM system for package analysis and product definition.· Worked with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and develop new concept parts.· Implemented cost conscious designs of vehicle electronics where applicable.· Develop test plans and processes for Design Verification & Validation of electronic parts.
