I have been a stamp dealer for over 35 years and am currently a director and 50% shareholder of Mark Bloxham Stamps Ltd. The limited company is new as a partnership but has been trading for over 20 years with a seven figure turnover. In 1996, I became one of the first UK stamp dealers to embrace the internet as a trading platform and in April 1999 I was one of the first UK stamp dealers to trade on eBay. I became a power seller on eBay in 2000 and later that year enjoyed a hugely successful joint promotion with eBay at their world famous, dicennial Stamp Exhibition in London. I have been involved in the valuing and also selling of many of the multi-million pound Great Collections and World Class Collections on the market. I have been since 2011 a Director of the Philatelic Traders Society (PTS) which was established in 1929 and is the major UK philatelic society responsible for the regulating of the commercial philatelic trade. The PTS works closely with other overseas philatelic societies. I am also a member of the American Philatelic Society. I’m a founding Director of The PTS Stamp and Coin Exhibitions Ltd a company set up in 2013 to run Stampex established in 1966 which is the most important biannual European Stamp show held in London. I’m one of the founders and main experts for the PTS Expertizing Ltd. I have also advised Auction houses as to the authenticity and value of major Great Britain items, including the independant valuation of the most expensive Great Britain stamp accumulation ever to be sold.
