I am an experienced shop leader and ran the £90 million a year turnover Liverpool city centre John Lewis store. This was the flagship store in the Liverpool One development and one of the largest business units in the JL Partnership. I led a team of 900 employees to deliver strong operational performance and drive a first-class omni-channel customer experience. Under my leadership, Liverpool was the number 5 store in the business for trading performance and number one branch in the John Lewis Partnership for customer experience for two years in succession. I was proud that John Lewis Liverpool also won the City’s prestigious Retail Award for customer experience in 2017 and I received a personal award for supporting Liverpool Retail in 2018.

I was accountable for leading an £18 million companywide transformational change programme. The core focus of my work was developing and implementing solutions to drive the growth of the John Lewis on-line business via in-store selling teams. All projects required me to work with every member of the John Lewis Management Board and implementation involved strong collaboration every business function. In addition, I was the Duty Director for the entire John Lewis business on a weekly basis, including all operational and PR duties.

I delivered strong sales (£22 million) and profit performance in the first year of operation and achieved number one position for Net Promoter Score (2011 & 2012) in the John Lewis division. I was promoted in September 2013 to Head of Branch Trafford. I was the first leader in John Lewis Partnership history to manage shops in both our food and department store divisions.
