As one of the company Principals, my primary responsibilities include serving as Engineering Department Manager for Shield Engineering, Inc. and as a key client manager and a project director for several industrial clients. My experience includes over 23 years of civil and environmental engineering experience including 12 years of combined active duty/reserve duty assignments with the U.S. Navy Civil Engineering Corps. My background includes a wide range of civil and environmental engineering consulting experience and projects for railroads, truck manufacturing plants, tool manufacturers, pulp and paper mills, packaging plants and military facilities that include:- Fuel dispensing systems from gasoline/diesel to JP-4/JP-5 fuels for commercial and military uses; - Military airfield and support facilities construction and maintenance, - Underground storage tank system compliance; - Assessment and remediation of leaking UST sites under various State programs including North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia; - CERCLA, RCRA and Superfund remedial design/remedial action; - Industrial pretreatment engineering and permitting,- Oil-water separator systems, - Storm water management systems,- Wastewater treatment facilities, - Water distribution and sanitary sewer collection infrastructure engineering and permitting; - Construction project inspection, oversight and management.
