My role is managing any defects for the main contractor (Optimise/ Kier/ Clancy Docwra) who work directly for Thames Water in South London on both the AMP 5 & AMP 6 contract.I manage the defects that the contractor receives from the Highway Authorities across South London ensuring that they are verified, inspected and if necessary engage with the Council directly to meet them on site to agree or dispute any defects. I produce daily reports & attend weekly meeting producing reports/ presentations highlighting trends & costs for the company ensuring that the company is aware of any issues that need to be addressed in order to meet the high standards set by the company and comply with the Highway Authorities.I verify costs for the company ensuring that all inspection charges set by the Highway Authority are investigated and validated.I engage with Thames Water directly working with them ensuring that all defects that are accepted are rectified within the deadlines set by Thames Water.My job also includes dealing with urgent defects and ensuring that these are actioned immediately and rectified not only to ensure a good relationship with the Highway Authority but also for the health & safety of the public.

I worked together with a Senior Quantity Surveyor verifying the quality of the workmanship for payment, ensuring work completed met the high & strict guidelines of the company & Thames Water.I produced weekly financial reports which were used to verify payments and costs. I trained & inducted new workers out in the field ensuring that they were educated in making sure that there work complied with the guidelines set by the company in order to receive payment from Thames Water.
