I write a lot of my own music. I love a lot of different styles & don't really want to be restrained by any one. My experience with MIDI, stems back to it's introduction into the music world in the 80's. During my time, I was mostly writing Christian Contemporary style songs (different from now) & Jazz/Fusion; & even 1 song for Drum & Bugle Corp. Later in that decade with the Catalinas, I sequenced all of the Floor-Show performances, that needed me out front from behind the drums. (Late 80s-early 90s). MIDI was a incredible breakthrough for musicians like me who have the ideas rolling around & just need to get them out. (Then we can bring those in who can add the feeling & talent.) Now, I'm doing a number of different types of projects & enjoying, & really soaking in, the current technology available for studio musicians. I like to try new things & even blending genres when I feel the creative energy applies in that moment. My website showcases some of this music.
