Ensuring that recommendations arising from audits are followed up, and where insufficient action has been taken to close safety-critical recommendations by the agreed target date, escalate the issue to the appropriate higher level. Responsible for all Schreiner helicopter maintenance facilities of avionic/electrical support. As well on scheduled maintenance as for troubleshoot problems (for all Schreiner A/C types S76/S61/SA355/AS365 & MD902).As Type Engineer for the AS365 and S61 fleet, I was responsible for the Aircraft Maintenance Program of this helicopter type. This includes the evaluation of the appropriate documentation (airworthiness directives, service bulletins, CSN’s etc.)and the annual aircraft/component reliability program.As dedicated Avionic Design Engineer of Schreiner (nowadays CHC), I was responsible for all avionic modifications for helicopter systems. These modifications are required to comply to the latest regulations or company, customer requirements. All modifications are approved under JAR, FAR or EASA part 21 design requirements. Examples of a few resent modifications are a.o. FMS, FLIR, HF, HEEL, CPI 406, Nav switch, Chip detection etc.
