I offer innovative solutions to everyday situations and deliver projects from concept through to product launch.A natural pioneer, I thrive on change, opening up new markets and gaining product acceptance in difficult markets.This was demonstrated recently when I had to form a scaffold company to prove a that a new advanced guard system I had developed was faster, safer and more efficient than traditional methods of erection. The company became the fastest growing and most profitable scaffold company in the country and is instrumental in leading the scaffold industry in improving the welfare of scaffolders.As a designer and inventor, I am constantly looking at improving the way we approach the way we provide temporary equipment to the construction industry with a key emphasis on sustainability and cost. One of my most significant projects was providing the Worlds largest temporary noise barrier for the extension of the holy Mosque in Mecca. Measuring 500lm by 12m high, the hoarding had to be mobile, allowing the prayers to continue as te work progressed around the holy shrine.By taking this approach and ensuring the products are the most cost effective, then the systems become standard practise which in turn will be rewarded with improved safety, efficiency and profits. The Steelhoard site hoarding system I designed is one of the most sustainable hoarding systems ever produced having a design life of 25 years and capable of at least 20 re uses, resulting in the costs being fractional compared to steel panel hoarding systems.. In 2011 I designed a scaffold erection system that would eliminate injury and fatalities from falling. The system creates a pre-installed safe zone (complete with debris-guard and toe board) from the lift below and fully complies with the working at height regulations 2005 and is now seen as best practise by the HSE, NASC and the Scaffold Association.My latest innovation will be the first freestanding canttilever gate system designed for inner city centre construction projects where ground penetration is undesirable and swinging gates cannot be facilitated.
