I manage the entire pipeline of accessibility creation for our growing company's various projects, including subtitles (English and other languages), subtitles for deaf and hard of hearing and audio description. This includes:1. Planning out the logistics and timeline steps for each project2. Identifying and contacting suitable freelancers either from our network of contacts or from various online databases.3. Using CRM and pipeline tools, managing each stage in the creation process, and ensuring the steps are completed on time and to the highest level of quality.4. Communicating with both clients and linguists to ensure any questions are posed and answered swiftly and changes are implemented correctly and efficiently.5. Editing and proofreading the finalised files and ensuring they are public-ready before exporting them and submitting them in the preferred format of the clients.Other roles include writing and submitting tenders for projects, managing the website and networking with current and potential clients.Our clients include both small and large media firms, filmmakers and institutes.

I specialize in the translation of French and Iberian Spanish comics, graphic novels and social media posts into North American English, both Canadian and American. My particular forte is the translation of humorous texts, whether it involves wordplay, jokes, funny language, cultural references or all of the above. For me, there's no humour that can't be translated one way or another - and I delight in taking on whatever challenge comes my way.

I coordinate and run Goose's Quizzes growing network of private and charity quizzes, which includes:1. Communicating with potential clients and customizing our offering to their specific needs and wants, setting prices and quoting them for our services and overseeing every step of the successful implementation of their private quiz event.2. Maintaining a database of clients, and building and strengthening existing relationships with vendors and venues.3. Building and diversifying our private offerings, inventing new and varied ways of quizzing and running large-scale events that enhance our brand (eg. Our own ticketed quiz events, Goose's Quizzes at the Edinburgh Fringe)4. Overseeing and training a team of hosts to provide consistently exceptional service at private quiz events.5. Successfully built an entirely new revenue stream for Goose's Quizzes over the 2020 lockdown, converting our in-person events into online events. This involved rapidly identifying and adapting video conferencing software for our own quiz needs, and developing the systems and platforms necessary to successfully run private online quiz events for a range of clients, from large, multinational companies to universities and clubs and groups of families and friends.

Managed, created, and edited the varied and ongoing communications (emails, newsletters etc.) produced by the school for distribution among parents, alumni and other stakeholders. Wrote and developed an in-depth communications plan, setting and implementing strategic goals through community consultation and addressing areas of most pertinent need.

Provided 12 hours a week of English speaking classes to high school students aged 12-16. Designed my own curriculum, planned and led classes that touched on diverse learning styles and abilities.

Trained and directed a staff of 35, oversaw the successful day-to-day operations for upwards of 220 international students aged 7-17. Implemented and managed the petty cash budget, staff scheduling, team meetings and staff evaluations, constantly maintaining a positive, supportive environment for clients and staff alike.
