I am the past President and co-founder of FIRST Robotics Canada. As a registered charity FIRST Canada inspires young people to become science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based hands on programs. These experiences build science, engineering, and technology skills, encourage innovation, and foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. We have programs available for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. We welcome the participation of FIRST Alumni, teachers, business and industry mentors, and community volunteers to help execute the 50+ competitions we host every year. Currently I am an education consultant, part-time educator, recreational beekeeper, boat captain and avid cottager.
