Grain movement includes the operation of belt conveyors, legs, scales, samplers, and other related equipment.Remotely operate plant equipment utilizing a PLC (Programmable logic controller), monitor the movement of grain and record the weights and grades for ship loading.Operate, monitor the movement of incoming grains, and record the weights and grades for truck and rail unloading.Ensure paperwork is accurate, maintain grades on bin boards, coordinate data with FGIS (grain inspection system).Notify the facility employees of production plans; communicate with other workers in the plant that will be performed.Control traffic through department and ensure that all visitors follow safety rules.Troubleshoot problems as required, high level alarms, rub blocks, belt adjustments and any other maintenance malfunctions.Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental impact of the operation.Knowledge of state and federal Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations related to plant safety.Perform housekeeping assignments and work to improve the condition of the department. Operate and control various functions throughout the plant, using Interstate's control system, I- control computer automation.Set and assign designation of product.Set parameters (temperature, flow, molasses, soy oil and other ingredients) to correct settings. Check density of products, using math formula for Premix. Operate and monitor multiple equipment/machinery simultaneously including pellet mill 300, pellet mill 200, grain cleaner and Flaker/crimper.Monitor amps, load and PID (potential integral derivatives).Log information such as time, tons, and amount of ingredients and chemicals. Operate control panels for distinct functions.Take measurements of products in Bins.Perform Preventative maintenance on equipment, ex: change dye/head when worn out, change oil filters, grease fittings, assist maintenance with projects and other PM assignments throughout the plant.In batching and mixing room: batch, mix and measure different ingredients, chemicals, and medicines to be mixed.Use of basic Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and ratios. Experience with Interstates Control Systems.Basic knowledge of Programmable logic controllers (PLC), and P&ID. Operation of robotic instrumentation
