As a child, my dream like many young boys was to become a footballer. I loved to win and my drive to ensure this became a reality was something that led me to to becoming a captain of several teams I found myself in. I was ever searching for ways to improve myself to make sure I could achieve my goals.Fast forward to the ever-cliché knee injury that put to bed such hopes, I found myself joining Genting Casinos when I came out of college. The core traits of leadership, competitiveness and self improvement that I picked up in my early years were something I found a way to apply to this new sector as I rose up through the ranks from Trainee Croupier to Management in the space of 8 years. Now with 14 years in the industry my “pitch” may not be defined by white paint, but the drive to ensure I get the best out of my team remains the same.
