I have extensive experience in leadership, building teams, and coaching and mentoring. My experience involves working with people, building and empowering the team, and developing those important relationships with customers. In my experience, I have found that establishing and building the customer relationship is as important as working and building the team to execute the work at hand. My track record illustrates a strong ability to establish trust with customers so that they continue to come back for additional support. In the Middle East where I worked for 9 years, establishing value, trust, respect, and dignity is of the utmost importance and the human relationship is highly valued. I was able to build these relationships effectively and I continue to stay in touch with my Abu Dhabi team and client colleagues to this day. My approach to building the team is always to instill the confidence and self-belief into individual team members so that they can stretch their capabilities to reach goals; this approach pays dividends for the individuals, for the team, and for the company. Over the years, I have developed an excellent record of coaching and mentoring staff so that they can eventually coach and mentor their own staff in the future. Building an effective team allows us to efficiently deliver the needs of the client.

Led a series of technical innovations that transformed EAD and the routine daily work of this group. These innovations included the development of two tools that were installed on tablet computers to allow Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi (EAD) inspectors conduct environmental inspections using the Inspection and Compliance Tool (ICT) and hazard evaluations using the Risk Characterization and Hazard Evaluation System (RiCHES). These systems are still in use today and provide an innovative and creative approach to document inspections and risk assessments of industrial and commercial facilities in Abu Dhabi. • Implemented and directed the development of 36 technical papers and presentations that were delivered over a 4-year period at 7 international technical conferences. These activities have improved the scientific stature of EAD and the EAD and RTI staff. In this role, continued to develop strong leadership skills in a diverse cultural setting. This work was some of the most rewarding and challenging of my career.
