My main duties within telemarketing are to take incoming calls from customer looking to purchaseIT equipment and process these onto customer accounts, take payments for orders placed eitherby myself or my colleagues, pro-actively look at my own back order to ensure the orders flowthrough the system, track the quotes I have sent out to determine when these will convert toorders, continually seek opportunity to make a sale either by my customer pipeline or by activelybeing in contact with quoted customers, updating customer accounts through profiling campaigns,proactively logging leads for software, server management and system virtualization servicesprovided by the company,DatabaseMy main duties whilst on the database team were to pick up and set up customer accounts thatwere submitted either via the website application or by sales managers, Running credit checks onthe back of the applications to determine if the customer is credit worthy, maintaining customerdetails on accounts ensuring the correct details were logged at all times, I was responsible forkeeping the emails sent directly into database on a daily basis up to date and completed within aset time scale, I was mainly in charge of processing the returned catalogues and processingthese into a spreadsheet for reports to be produced to make call out lists.

My main duties whilst working for Topps Tiles were to keep the customer happy by offeringadvise on tile purchases, basic shop keeping ­ making sure the store was presentable throughoutthe day, processing of deliveries and re-stocking the shop floor where necessary, creating theshop displays making sure that what was on display conformed to store standards.
