Mark Broses currently serves as an Independent Director on the Board of BB&E. Other than that he is mostly retired right now - figuring out how to do good in the world through volunteer work locally and globally. Mark is actively involved with Rotary International. Prior to retirement, Mark had a 29-year career at Short Elliott Hendrickson with various roles in Engineering Design, Project Management, Business Development, and Leadership. His most recent position was VP on the SEH Growth Team (CEO, CFO, CSMO) for Mergers & Acquisitions, as well as the President of four SEH subsidiaries. Mark served two 3-year terms on the SEH Board, and 7 years on the "SEH Design Build LLC" subsidiary board. July 2014 to 2021, Mark was VP-Regional Leader and led the SEH East Region for overall strategy, growth and operations with more than 160 staff and 12 offices in Wisconsin and Indiana. Technical practices include Architecture; Civil and Survey, Landscape Architecture, Community Planning and Economic Development, Environmental, Water Resources and Natural Resources, Transportation (Highway Design & Construction, Structural, Traffic and Planning) and Water/Wastewater. The region’s overall client mix is approximately 70% public / 30% private. Earlier in Mark's career he has been a project manager and/or lead engineer on a wide variety of projects in the Midwest including: Chemical/Fuel Storage and Conveyance Systems, Industrial Wastewater Systems, Renewable Energy, Contaminated Sediments, Municipal Landfills and Dumps, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) Superfund sites, Industrial Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) sites, and Municipal Brownfields. Public clients have included towns, cities, counties, Indian Tribal Nations and Federal government agencies (Army, Air Force, USACE, USEPA, USFW, NOAA). Private clients have included industrial (pulp and paper, chemical, oil and gas, manufacturing, food and beverage), waste management companies, farmers, banks, attorneys and developers.
