While with Heart of Hospice, I worked as the Chaplain of a multi-disciplinary team with nurses, social workers and CNAs. As a Hospice Chaplain, my primary responsibility was to provide emotional and spiritual counseling to patients and their families. Other duties included submitting written reports and Plan of Cares for each patient and acting as liaisons between members of the clergy and hospice patients. My job was not to replace clergy members but rather to offer further support and communicate the needs of the patient. Additionally, I provided some bereavement services, including phone calls, visits and memorial services, to family members upon the death of a patient.

Operated in role of Lead Pastor for approximately 16 years and Associate Pastor for approximately 5 years in a number of states and churches.
