As the News Graphics Supervisor at 9News Queensland, I oversee a team of motion designers who create animations for news reports and promotional commercials for a number of shows, including 9News Queensland, 9News Gold Coast, 9News Darwin, A Current Affair, and the Today Show. I create promotional, set and in-story motion graphics for a handful of Channel 9 shows. The shows include: 9 News Queensland, 9 News Gold Coast, A Current Affair, and the Today Show. All graphic requests have a same day turnaround which means that they need to be completed within a couple of hours. You need to be quick and have a clear vision of what you are creating.We are a small, efficient graphics team and have a giant workload but we always seem to get it accomplished somehow.

Splat Studios is an up and coming music video company. I have helped out with several different videos over the last few years both on set and in post.

Working on varies job sites installing all times of ceilings, from commercial jibbed, tiled and suspended clouds, to home ceilings and petitioning walls. Also built a fence and installed a couple of roller doors. I worked summers in between studying at Victoria University of Wellington, and also learnt how to cooperate with different types of people in the work place.Skills involved- Getting a level surface using lasers.- Griding out a room so that it is evenly spaced and most importantly that it is squared.- Learning how to use scissor lifts, fork lifts, etc.- Working with other trades, e.g. communicating with the builders, sparkies, plasterers, painters, air con guys etc so that the job is done most efficiently.
