Linux/x86 Dynamic Ad Insertion for Broadcast/Streaming Video• Defined and developed caching feature for prefetching and optionally transcoding advertisements to be inserted into program streams in C++/Boost. Developed automated unit tests with Boost Test library.• Focal point for harmonizing telemetry definition and reuse across Imagine Ad products. Duties included defining compliance, writing compliant libraries, and consulting with other product teams.Linux/ARM Based Video Network Processor • Developed multiviewer (MV) data plane feature running on Xilinx Microblaze embedded processor in C/C++. Technical lead of MV embedded team.• Developed ARM control plane code for 4k UHD uncompressed video 100G interfacing processor/router. Duties included implementing features, automating unit tests in PythonLinux/x86 Based Audio/Video Transcoder/Encoder• Technical lead defined and implemented remote video encoding/transcoding node in Java. Nodes could be deployed and be auto-detected by management node for configuration, status and alarming function. Nodes ran autonomously and implemented fault tolerance and service restoration without management node intervention.• Extensive unit/system testing with JUnit. Oversaw work of other team members to ensure quality and guide vision of the code base.• Full stack experience: Java/Spring/Tomcat, HTML/JavaScript/PHPLinux/PowerPC Based Satellite Demodulator/Descrambler – • Lead responsible for deliverables of embedded satellite demodulator project. Duties include working with OEM on specifications and deliverables of RF section, defining UI, and implementing most control plane functions in C. Created Windows/C# integrated application for uploading/scheduling updates over satellite link.Broadcast Encoder/Decoder – • Responsible for maintaining and adding new features to audio encoder and decoder running on TI C6x DSP code in C/C++. Performed Dolby Labs product certification procedures.
