I completed a fully-funded doctoral research project on migrant work in the night-time economy at Teesside University. I also teach around 70 undergraduate students across various modules on our criminology, sociology and combined honours programmes. I have delivered academic presentations about my research at a number of conferences and workshops.

These included media representations of crime and deviance, labelling, positivism and exploration of intersections of victimisation such as race, gender and class. I.

Responsibilities here included the completion of observation forms and providing one-to-one feedback and recommendations for future teaching improvement; as well as offering students support and mentoring when necessary. The role involved visiting many schools, sixth forms, FE & HE institutions around the north east observing student teachers across a wide.

Assessment of GCE AS Level examination scripts as well as providing feedback on overall quality and standards.

BSc Criminology & Forensic Psychology - Victims and Offenders ModuleLeading seminars teaching 5 groups of 25 students. The module covered topics that included human trafficking, hate crime and anti-social behaviour. My main role was reinforcement of material presented in the lectures and leading debate and discussion of contemporary issues in criminology.
