Operations Manager overseeing the safe & successful delivery of the West Sussex Contracting business location, achieving an annual turnover in excess of £6m.Our business operates within the M&E building services industry and my individual responsibilities for the delivery of the business include :-- Management and organisation of a team of 50+ employees including Estimators, Contracts Engineers, Supervisors, Administrators and Electrical and Mechanical craftsmen.- Delivering the business Profit & Loss Account, including income review & projection, overhead control and profit analysis. - Preparation of business plans, budgets, forecasts and sales plans.- Tender opportunity selection and settlements.- Contract Negotiations.- Business modernisation planning.- Recruitment and HR issue resolution.

- Completing project budget estimates & plans- Maintaining working relationships with clients, including end users and building contractors.- Responsibility for employee’s health & safety within their working day, and to drive H&S by positive encouragement, and leading by example.- Preparation of project specific health and safety plans to comply with CDM regulations. - Produce project delivery programmes and control of project delivery.- Monitor and control financial aspect of projects against budgets, spend plans and spend profiles. Major Projects Delivered - Senior Project Manager for the successful delivery of a major £3m project for the installation and commissioning of a new 11kv Electrical Supply into the NATS Swanick site.

- Submitting PQQ documentation, estimating and quoting for project in a competitive tender market.- Development of new & existing clients managing with the Business Development Manager.- Delivery of projects ranging from £100 to a value of £1m. - Maintain working relationships with clients, including end users and building contractors.- Responsibility for employee’s health & safety within their working day. - Project management and controlling costing/budgets- Monitoring the financial costs including procurement, raising valuations and invoices. - Managing direct Mechanical and Electrical employees, specialist sub contractors such as scaffold contractors, and civil contractors.
