During my tenure as Lead Network Architect at MGM Resorts International, I have spearheaded several critical initiatives that significantly upgraded our network infrastructure. Key projects included migrating our data center to Cisco ACI, leading the RFP process for selecting an SD-WAN vendor, and implementing NetScout for advanced network analysis. I also managed the refresh of the core networks in our Las Vegas casinos with Cisco 6807 chassis-based switches, migrated our Data Center firewalls to next-generation firewalls, and standardized our Data Center load balancers. Additionally, I led the integration of our network with public clouds, establishing secure and efficient connections to Azure and AWS via Megaport and AWS Direct Connect with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). These efforts have substantially enhanced our network's performance and reliability, positioning MGM Resorts as a leader in technology-driven hospitality.

Contract with Royal Bank of Scotland for various Network Infrastructure projectsDuring my time at Tomorrow Communications from 2008 to 2011, I focused on network solutions for the financial sector in London. I led the Wireless network design for a new 4000-seat Royal Bank of Scotland campus in Bankside, ensuring robust and scalable connectivity. I also designed network setups for the trading floor, prioritizing low latency and multicast for fast financial transactions. These projects demonstrated my ability to deliver specialized, high-performance network environments for banking institutions.

During my time at Network Rail from 2006 to 2008, I served as a solutions architect where I was heavily involved in several key projects. I led a WAN Optimization project that aimed to enhance network efficiency across various locations. I was part of an VoIP RFP process with major vendors like Avaya, Cisco, Nortel, and Ericsson, ultimately selecting Nortel for deploying at a new site in Manchester. This decision was influenced by several factors including the importance of the Digital Private Network Signalling System (DPNSS), which was critical to our telecom group. Additionally, I worked on deploying 802.11 wireless technology to signal boxes, aiming to improve connectivity and modernize the communication infrastructure within the rail network. These projects were challenging yet rewarding, providing me with extensive experience in managing and implementing complex network solutions.

I played a key role in network engineering support. I supported critical operations, troubleshooting routing (OSFP) and switching. I also supported the foreign exchange trade floor BTS dealerboard and Siemens PABX systems. One of my major projects included the migration of the data center from central London to Watford. The network infrastructure was based on Cisco 6509 switches. Additionally, I was part of the team that implemented a firewall infrastructure, incorporating Alteon load balancers, Netscreen firewalls, and Checkpoint firewalls. This diverse experience highlights my capabilities in managing and securing complex network environments.
