My entire life I have been drawn to numbers. From early math classes to my eventual path to becoming a CPA, having numbers make sense has been a primary driver in my life. In my early college career, I opted to study philosophy, with an emphasis on logic. As a left-brained thinker, I learned how to analyze problems and think critically laying a foundation for the rest of my life. Later, as a successful mortgage broker, crafting the perfect loans for my clients was my motivating factor. Focusing full time on accounting for the past 10+ years, I have found my calling. Analyzing data, organizing information into reports, and creating strategies for streamlining processes are some of my favorite aspects of this work. I have managed teams of accountants overseeing a 7-figure annual payroll. I have worked with companies on implementing software and creating internal controls to strengthen their accounting departments. I have explored the depths of Excel to create spreadsheets that give more meaning to the end user.At the end of the day, numbers have not only transferred into a career, they are also my passion. I can often be found at the end of the day working a logic puzzle or playing a deductive board game with friends. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing new perspectives.
