I lead Flint's competition and regulatory team. An economist by background, I advise on complex regulatory and policy developments and support clients on competition matters, including major transactions. I work across a broad range of sectors but have a particular focus on technology, media and infrastructure. My clients include corporates as well as many of the world's leading infrastructure investors.My advice draws on over 30 years experience of regulation, competition and policy development. I bring a detailed knowledge of the underlying economic principles of regulation and policy, and a deep understanding of the way in which governments and agencies make decisions.Before joining Flint, I was a senior policy director at Ofcom, the UK’s media and telecoms regulator, leading the regulator’s work on spectrum policy for mobile, satellite and broadcasting and running its programme of mobile spectrum auctions. Earlier in my time at Ofcom I spent five years as an economic director working on competition and regulatory issues in the broadcasting and telecoms sectors, including a major market investigation into premium sports and movies, market impact assessments of the BBC and numerous telecoms reviews.Earlier in my career i was an economic consultant at PwC, working with companies, governments and regulators across a wide range of sectors to develop commercial and regulatory strategies and to design and respond to regulatory arrangements.
