Role as I&C Commissioning Engineer for client; responsible for the deliverable of commissioning and completion of the Integrated Control and Safety System ICSS. Responsibilities include reviewing installation against Basis of Design (BOD) documentation ensuring the system meets both industrial and client’s standard requirements. Managing resources, working with MAC vendor (Emerson) and engineering team. Witness and sign off on site acceptance testing (SATs) and any change requirements by management of change (MOC) process. Assess, draft, submit technical query (TQs) as required.Ensure all Inspection Test reports (ITRs) are populated and completed correctly and on time in line with project schedule and commissioning targets.Witness, verify and sign off for both offline and online Cause and Effect (C&E) testing ensuring RLM of C&E charts.Manage, coordinate and execute LIVE ESD/FGS Integration tests, demonstrating both functionality and operability is as per design

Employed by QEDI seconded to Shell as an Instrument commissioning Supervisor. Project consisted of new onshore processing facility and wellpads. Duties involved RFC walk-downs, review and update of commissioning ITR assignment against completions database. Supervision of loop-checks and control narrative testing, liaise with vendors for commissioning of various process & utility packages and integration into plant Delta V ESD/DCS system. Provide operational support during plant start up and ninety day performance run.

Kashagan Offshore Field Development, D Island Complex, Kazakhstan

Employed by Imtech Bolashak as an EIT field engineer, sub contracted into KCOI (Kazakhstan Caspian Offshore Industry). Duties include Final walk down of sub-systems before compiling dossiers to hand over to the client (AGIP KCO). Liaising daily with the client on system walkdowns, engineering modifications and outstanding issues in order to reach Mechanical Completion.Generating punch list, final redline mark-up of site drawings. Compiling accurate reports for the procurement of materials.

Employed as an Instrument Commissioning Technician. Working on Honeywell Experion system, which involved Data capture and downloading software to the foundation fieldbus instruments to make ready for loop checking and commissioning.I attended a Honeywell Experion course for this role.

Kashagan Field Development, D Island Complex, Kazakhstan

Employed by Kentech as an Instrument Supervisor, sub contracted into Aker Solutions. Duties included progressing of daily work front, ensuring all documentation/work packs were kept up to date and correct in MIPS. Onsite supervision/coordination and direction of construction activities, ensuring correct procedures and a high standard of work was being carried out by local workforce. Completing relevant paperwork for sign off of ITR’s with client (AGIP KCO).

Belinabouy Shell Gas Terminal, Bellmullet Co Mayo

Employed by Instrotech as a lead instrument technician, sub contracted into PM Group. Duties included ensuring all pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks were carried out in a safe efficient and timely manner on plant I&C systems, included were F&G detection & deluge, ESD, plant process and utilities. Generation of permits to work. Other duties included a complete physical inspection of instrumentation construction to ensure QA/QC, carry out calibration and complete logic, function test of the process control system and ensure the system is built as per P&ID and control narratives.Testing of control narratives and C&E matrices to ensure detailed design specification was achieved.

South Hook Lng Terminal, Millford Haven, South Wales.

Employed by Sepam as an instrument Supervisor, sub contracted into CB&I. Duty’s included Generating permits to work, Job safety analysis and creating job packs. Ensured correct installation, hook up and positioning according to P&ID, Isometric & Hook Up drawings. Collaborating on a daily basis with safety, construction & commissioning managers on work progress and issues encountered. Loop checking, full cause and effect testing & Commissioning of the nitrogen generation system which involved the compressor, air purification skid and cool box. Loop checking and commissioning of the Fire and Gas detection site wide.

Bp, Nerefco Project, Europort, Rotterdam, Holland

Employed by Fabricom GTI/seconded to BP as an instrument commissioning technician. Duties included Dynamic loop Testing and Commissioning of site instruments, ESD and Process Shutdown. Investigation, fault finding and troubleshooting of the Honeywell TDC 3000 control system.

Marathon Oil, Fpso “Alvheim”, Haugesund, Norway.

Employed by Kentz as an E&I commissioning technician, sub contracted into Marathon. Duties included Loop checking and Commissioning of the H VAC Systems, VCM’S, fire and foam safety system, Cargo and Ballast pumps, Thrusters, ESD, critical action and Draught sensors to the Kongsberg Maritime Control System & Emergency / Process Shutdown.

Moneypoint Esb (Electrical Supply Board) Power Station.

Employed by Instrotech as an instrument commissioning technician, sub contracted into ESB.Duties included loop checking, pre commissioning and complete upgrade of the DCS/SCADA of a 300 Megawatt turbine. The control system been operated was Siemens Teleperm.

Employed as an Instrument Commissioning Technician. Duties included loop of site instruments, PLC RIO panels, HPU skids, Fire and gas detection, Emergency shut down, Critical action, Firewater pumps, HVAC systems, Gas export trains, gas recompression trains. MEG injection and recovery systems. Effluent treatment plants, Essential Generator. Commissioning of LNG control & instrumentation packages. Full Hardware & software checks. Red lining of drawing and creating IC’s to rectify both design and installation errors carried out during constructionComplete functional test of the instrument and logic test of software.
